George, a 9-year-old boy in London during World War II, is sent to the English Countryside for his safety by his mother Rita. Defiant and determined to return home to his mother and his grandfather Gerald in East London, George embarks on an adventure, only to find himself in immense peril, while a distraught Rita searches for her missing son.
