From heartbreak to ecstasy, the Berliner Philharmoniker’s New Year’s Eve Concert takes you on an emotional roller-coaster ride.

With his velvety, lyrical voice, star tenor Benjamin Bernheim revels in the lovesick agonies of famous opera heroes: Don José from Bizet’s Carmen, Lenski from Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Massenet’s Werther and Gounod’s Romeo. Chief conductor Kirill Petrenko provides some sunnier touches with works by Chabrier and Gershwin.
